HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (1 POST) – DAR ES SALAAM

Reports to: Human Resources and Administrative Manager
Job purpose: To provide human resource management services to the company
Requirements
• Holder of a degree in Human Resource Management or Labour Studies or equivalent qualifications from a recognized training institution plus relevant working experience of at least 3 years;
• Ability to interpret and apply labour laws;
• Knowledge and skills on computer usage
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
Duties:
1. Coordinate staff recruitment and selection - this includes developing job descriptions, preparing job advertisement, checking application letters, short-listing, interviewing and selecting candidates; •
2. Assist line managers in understanding and implementing Human Resources policies and procedures;
3. Assist in developing human resources policies;
4. Advise on pay and other remuneration issues including promotion, benefits and salary reviews; (
5. Negotiate with staff and their representatives on issues relating to pay and condition;
6. Interpret and provide advice on the application of labour laws;
7. Listen to grievances and implement disciplinary procedures;
8. Participate in human resource planning and budgeting;
9. Prepare monthly human resource reports;
10. Advise the Human Resources and Administrative Manager on issues pertaining to human resources;
11. Perform any other duties as may be assigne9 by the supervisor.

MARKETING OFFICER (1 POST) - MWANZA

The Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited is a private limited liability company owned by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The company publishes Tanzania's leading newspapers - Daily News, Sunday News, Habarileo, Habarileo Jumapili and online editions of these newspapers accessed on the website www.dailynews-tsn.com and www.habarileo.co.tz. It owns modern printing and pre-press facilities and has.an elaborate products distribution network.
Required to report to: Sales and Marketing Manager
Main perpose: To conduct sales and marketing activities for the company

Qualifications:
• Holder of a degree in Commerce (Marketing) or equivalent qualification from a recognized J training institution plus relevant working experience of at least 3 years;
• Knowledge and skills on computer usage
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.







Duties:
1. Solicit advertisements for publication in newspapers, websites and any alternative media owned by TSN;
2. Find new readers and subscribers of TSN Newspapers, websites etc.;
3. Monitor newspaper sales, displays and distribution on daily basis;
4. Conduct periodical market surveillance and intelligence to check performance of TSN products against competing products;
5. Conduct regular market and customer survey in Mwanza, Shinyanga, Mara and Kagera regions and advice the Sales and Marketing Manager on the appropriate marketing strategies;
6. Monitor and collect debts for advert and newspapers sales;
7. Perform all administrative tasks related to office upkeep, maintenance and safety of the company's properties at Mwanza Branch office;
8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
