National Advisor Private Sector Development
The Swiss Cooperation (SC) in Tanzania focuses on three domains: Governance & Accountability, Private Sector Development in Agriculture (PSD) and Well Being (health and water). As a part of its activities, SC aims at supporting and enhancing the role of the private sector and strengthening the economy for the benefit of the rural poor people with a focus on improved access to markets for small and medium scale farmers and better quality of products.
The Swiss Cooperation is looking to hire a National Advisor for Private Sector Development in the agricultural sector who will be working both on strategic as well as programme management level and supporting the SC Office (COOF) in the implementation of its Tanzanian Country Programme 2011 - 2015.

Extended knowledge and capacities to analyze trends in the area of (macro) economy, but particularly in the area of Private Sector Development, trade and economic growth in agriculture.
Strong track record of program management (Project Cycle Management).
Sound knowledge of the national policy environment in Tanzania, economic growth, pro-poor policies.
Organization of program implementation including formulating Terms of References, defining budgets, monitoring contracts, etc.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal English and Kiswahili as well as strong management, communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work in a complex and dynamic organizational setting, in a multi-cultural environment and delivering at tight deadlines with minimal supervision
